You look at the lumps of cloud, it's almost like you've been to the old cement factory, taken some lumps and just gone bmmm [throwing gesture] at the old weather map.
It's not a complete washout but, depending on where you are, you might be out there with the old raincoat or [two-handed umbrella gesture] the umbrella through the weekend.
Auckland, wake up in the morning, take the dog out for a walk [dog-walking gesture] and it'll be one of those mornings where he sits at the door and says [looks up] uh-uh, not yet.

This weather system, it starts to look a bit of a dogs dinner, it's just like doing one of these strange sorts of thing [bends arms back].
Australia
You're heading to Australia for the weekend, you're probably wondering what to pack. Well, the warm coat might come in handy, more than likely the sunglasses will do quite well.
Sydney, it's a picnic day, nice one at eighteen.
This big high, it's like a slow-moving ox, it just sort of sits there and dawdles [shuffles along, shoulders hunched], doesn't really move and you say, 'my word, look at the thing, it's like it's been pumped up with air.'

That big high builds across and it's a big bloke, look at the size of this thing just going [expanding gesture] ho-ho! Here we are!
National (Sunday)
You take one look at the weather map and you just go 'my word, it looks like a plate of spaghetti.' It does look messy, doesn't it?
Look at Queenstown, yeah, it's got a smile on that sunshine just about [smile gesture].
