It's a yucky day, the ducks will have smiles on their faces, but even for them it'll be a bit of 'h-ho, hang on a bit!'
This weather system is a bit like the house guest that comes, a week later it's still at your house, still eating all your food.
By the end of the weekend it slowly says, 'OK, I've had enough,' it starts to move away.

Different spokes of blue, different pieces of energy, bit of an angry octopus of sorts.
It's not like we flick a switch [gestures doing so] and say 'voila!, tomorrow's fine.'

We've still got the same old stubborn low sitting across the North Island a bit like a car stuck in the mud [spinning gesture with one hand], just sort of spinning away [spinning gesture again, this time with both hands], a couple of days later you're spinning away, revving the engine and it's not moving.
Notice our little blue sausage, that's the main area of moisture.

The low is just spinning around like a lost soul.
This weather system is a bit slow and a bit stubborn, I always like to call this one- it's a bit like a bit of chewing gum stuck on the bottom of your shoe. It's stuck there and you're trying to scrape it off and it won't come off.
The low, it's like a spinning little thing [spinning gesture], it just finally gives up the ghost and says [gasps for air].

Think of weather systems like bulls in china shops, sometimes they move in their own unique way.
Overall we'll get the days where we sort of say 'extra layers!' and then other days where we say 'hmmm, sunglasses,' [sunglasses gesture] and we'll warm up but overall it'll be just like a winter with some nice days, some fine days and at the end of it we'll sort of say, 'yeah, that was alright.'
