What a shock to discover Dan's not been on the video forecasts for most of this week because he's been off on a 'work jolly'.
On Tuesday ^JB @MetService tweeted:

Quite rightly, there was a complaint on the MetService Facebook page:
Hopefully normal service will resume next week.
Angel, went to the BBC News and Sport on Tour in Bristol last weekend - and saw Dan!
Well... a poster of him anyway.
The next (and final) stop for the tour is Swansea (15th to 17th August), if you fancy having a go at presenting a weather bulletin and meeting someone from the BBC Weather team.
Angel says it's harder that it looks;
No script, no autocue, a monitor that shows them their graphics in reverse and a director shouting all manner of things in their ear whilst they have to remember what they have got to tell you about the weather! Wow! It is apparently the hardest thing to present.
From my limited experience, I can second that.
There's even a BBC News and Sport on Tour Facebook group, on which I found another photo of the same poster of Dan. Look carefully - Dan's in it twice!
