Firstly, what makes a great weather presenter? (TL;DR, it's Dan)
If you only watch one of these three videos, make it this one.
What we do is convey information ... it might be a big storm that's coming or it might be lovely weather for beaches. We take all the information, we look at the weather, we're telling the story - but you want people to remember what you're telling them because so many times people will watch the weather and you get to the end of it and you go [pulls face] 'What's gonna happen tomorrow?' ... and that's why I like to sit there and tell people, 'today's gonna be a great day for the beach, you're gonna go outside, you're gonna have fun.'
For me, the highlight of this video is Dan's forecast in front of the studio audience.
We start off with what I call a plate of spaghetti, all the different fronts.
Thirty degrees, you'll be outside, that nor-wester like Mother Nature's hairdryer blowing away.
This wiggly front like a piece of blue plasticine wiggles about.
It's the applause at the end that makes it for me. Yay for Dan!
