6 Music: Chris Hawkins
Chris asks Dan what his middle name is. It's Patrick.
Dan: You have to have something.
Chris tells Dan he likes seeing him on the telly and suggests starting a campaign.
Dan: I have a better face for radio these days.
NO! I do love hearing Dan on the radio - no, let me rephrase that - I love hearing Dan on Chris' 6 Music show, but we do need to see more of him on the telly. Yes, we still have the wonderful sound-effects and incredible ~isms on the radio, but I do miss the gestures and smiles :-(
Then the forecast:
The weekend will be a bit cooler so you might not be sort of tempted to throw the deckchairs into the garden.
Try and get out and grab a packed lunch in the middle of the day or something.
We've still got our ridge of high pressure. Remember on Monday we put some glue on the back of it, it's still sitting on the weather map but the glue is just starting to dry up a bit so the high is just slowly easing away and I think he's going to drip off the weather map.
Spring is always one of those funny times, you think you're done with the cold air but it's always sort of sitting up there saying, 'ha ha, I'm coming back'.
Chris: Thanks, Dan. And that's what?
Dan: That's the weather, for now.
There's a little of what I can only assume is the Texan accent right at the end.

5Live: Gabby Logan
One of those days where you just want to be outside, have a packed lunch.
High pressure, that's easing away, almost waving it goodbye for the time being.
The screengrab there was taken from the 5Live webcam, allowing us a television-style peek inside the studio.
Listen again, about 27 minutes in. Available for 7 days from broadcast.
The following ~ism was posted on the Facebook group 'BBC Weather Man Daniel Corbett Appreciation Society' today:
"It's one of those days where you walk outside and say 'oh hello sun', let's go to the park and have a packed lunch together, it really is most delightful out there!!!" ♥ him... the man is a genius.
I've listened to all Thursday morning's 5Live programmes on the iPlayer (including Breakfast!) and can't find this gem anywhere. Anyone?
