Traditionally, the first post of the year sets out my resolutions and plans for the next twelve months.
As mentioned in the previous post, I'd like to redo the meadow. The front garden (although at about 1.5m x 1.5m you can't really call it a garden) could do with some attention, although I don't have any ideas for it yet.
The back bedroom (although it has no bed) has become seriously cluttered and needs a good sort out. We have too much 'stuff'.
I'd also like to see Niece and Nephews more often, they're growing up fast.
As for plans, nothing set in stone apart from the Olympics. Yeah, it's twenty-twelve; Olympic Year of Doom.
We have tickets for handball (?!) and beach volleyball (not that I currently plan to use my ticket to that event).
My faith in London's ability to put on a good show was boosted by last night's midnight fireworks, which were reassuringly impressive. Love hearts! Music! And fireworks on Big Ben?! That was unexpected.
They should just have a shedload of fireworks for the opening ceremony. And make sure Boris has combed his hair.

That was really lovely. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. China did set the bar pretty high, but you all have had four years to prepare and I'm certain it will be great. Didn't you once say something about Morris Dancers? It can't be three hours of that I'm sure! :-)

BTW: I have China's Olympic opening ceremony on my iPod. Yes, I love whipping it out to remind people just how brilliant it was! No pressure! :-)

You'll have our opening ceremony on your iPod too, but ours'll be for comedy value ;-)
