Good news from the vets - Bob won't be needing his eye out. Phew!
However, he'll need to have steroid eye drops for the rest of his life.
(Sorry, Bob. Just couldn't resist the picture.)
In other news, you may have heard about the flash flood in Cornwall. If you haven't seen any of the footage, take a look at the video here (link about halfway down the page).
Unbelievable.

thought it was time I made an appearance on your blog since you came out to me the other week! Good news about Bob but did you ask the vet the same stupid question that Lewis asked our vet when we were told Hobbes would need steroid injections for the rest of her life - "will it make her big and muscly so she can go out and beat up other cats?". This feeble attempt at humour was met with a withering look from the vet who thought he was asking a serious question...

I am not sure, but I think that the sight in one of his eyes will get stronger and he will be able to see through walls, and eventually be able to kill mice with laser beams that shoot out of his eye. Before you know it you will have to make him a costume to hide his secret idenitity. The eye patch looks like a good start, but I can still recognise him.

Poor Bob, but I do love the idea of him being a super hero.
